Neighbourhood Watch

As a member of Cheshire Police alert I am writing to you to make you aware of the benefits of Neighbourhood watch.

Neighbourhood watch is a national charity that supports and enables individuals and communities to be connected, active and safe, which increases wellbeing and reduces crime and the fear of crime.
Our ward based PCSO’s and PC’s support the schemes within their areas with regular crime updates and crime prevention advice.
Across Runcorn we already have a small number of NHW schemes in place but we would really like to see more residents get involved.
During the pandemic we have seen incredible community sprit within Runcorn where local people have really looked out for one another though such unprecedented and difficult times.
As we are now hopefully on the downwards slope towards coming out of restrictions it would be fantastic to see that community spirit transferred into brilliant schemes like neighbourhood watch.

It’s completely free to set up a scheme as a coordinator and it can be done via the Cheshire Police Alert site or by visiting alternatively there may be an existing scheme in your area you are not aware of, you can search for local schemes on the Our Watch website.
If you would like more information regarding neighbourhood watch you can contact your local PCSO via their social media channels or myself or

Kind regards
