Join the Canalival...Fun for all the family!

What's a 'Canalival' we hear you say? Well on Saturday 4th June, the Halton Heritage Partnership in association with The Suitcase Ensemble and Halton Young People's Theatre will show you!

HH Canalival

This day-long event starting at 10:30am, will take place at Hazlehurst Studios’ Old town Bloom garden, The Brindley and on-board Ada, wide beam boat, which will be moored on the Bridgewater Canal by The Brindley. The day includes family-friendly activities of seed-planting, face painting and craft-based fun… a little bit of something for everyone to get involved with, with a veritable jamboree of performance, storytelling and music! Other highlights include:

  • A theatrical re-imagining of the lives of canal workers and dwellers by Halton Young People’s Theatre / 1:30pm / The Brindley Cafe Terrace
  • A series of street performances / 2:30pm onwards / Towpath and Terrace
  • A heritage talk and walk by Richard Andrews on the Sprinch boatyard and other buildings / 3:00pm / Meet at The Brindley

Join us between 10:30am and 4:00pm for heritage-based shenanigans and follow the signage to the different activities. If the weather’s good, then why not bring a picnic?
