NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972, that there is a vacancy on the above Council caused by the resignation of Simon Cieluch.

A by-election to fill the vacancy will be held if, within 14 days (not counting a Saturday or Sunday, or a Bank Holiday) from the date below, ten electors for the ward/ parish give notice in writing claiming such an election to the Returning Officer.

Channel clearance Project

The EA contractors have completed the majority of the channel clearance adjacent to Oxmoor Nature reserve.

The contractors are clearing the remaining vegetation from in front of the inlets.

Less Than A Week To Register - Residents In Halton Invited To Quiz Commissioner and Chief Constable on Police Budget

Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire, John Dwyer, and Chief Constable Mark Roberts will be holding an online public engagement event for residents of Halton.

Halton residents are invited to submit their questions about the police budget for 2022/23, which proposes an extra 120 officers and 63 frontline support staff for the Constabulary to support communities across the county.

The event will be held via Microsoft Teams on Monday 17 January from 7 – 8:30pm.

Announcement of resignation

Announcement

Sandymoor Parish Council wishes to announce the resignation of the Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer Mrs Bernadette Tarry who will be leaving in early February 2022.

The Council would like to thank Mrs Tarry for her service and send our best wishes in any future endeavours.

SPC will be seeking to appoint a new Clerk and RFO in due course which will be advertised on our website along with other media outlets. We would thank Sandymoor residents and other agencies in advance for bearing with us during the transitionary period ahead.
